Short-term course lasting 4 days each and aimed at the development of individual skills and testing a possible path in a new profession. Courses will be held in July and August in partnership with the British Higher School of Art and Design.
THEORY AND PRACTICE IN CONTEMPORARY ART

The programme is based on theoretical and practical classes, lectures, discussions, workshops and a project work. Participants will familiarize themselves with various strategies for developing their own artistic activities as an artist, and will find out about prospective careers as a curator, art manager or employee of a museum, foundation or any other institution working in this field.
BASICS OF GALLERY BUSINESS
Course curator: Sergey Gushchin, founder and director of Fragment Gallery and Fragment Art Club

The course introduces the gallery business, combining real-world examples with critical reflection on topics that are essential in the art business, including the increasingly important role of art fairs. Intensive course is suitable for those who are considering a career in this field, and also want to understand how contemporary art galleries are operating.
PROJECT MANAGMENT IN CONTEMPORARY ART

The course is dedicated to the contemporary shift in the cultural economy from artifacts to experience and events. This is a response to the many new forms of artistic and creative practice that require new, hybrid forms of cultural management and organization. The programme provides understanding of aspects of cultural policy and management, as well as introduces basic skills and methods of doing strategic planning.
PR AND MARKETING IN CONTEMPORARY ART

PARTNERSHIP OF CULTURE AND BUSINESS: STRATEGY, MARKETING, FUNDRAISING
Programme leader: Anastasia Elaeva, Head of Creative partnerships at the communications agency Grayling, researcher on cooperation between business and culture.

The purpose of the programme is to provide the necessary knowledge and skills to create a competent strategy for collaborations between business and culture. Within the framework of the course, the formats of interaction between companies and the art world, success factors and models for measuring effectiveness will be explored. Participants will also learn the strategies of additional fundraising for cultural organizations.
